Carefully Curated and Sustainably Sourced Fashions for the Modern Woman, Her Family, and Her Home.
Hi there! I'm Karrie Beth, founder of the brand KURATED. I'm so glad you found me and I'm honored to have you here. I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart and momma to four little blessings. I've always wished I could sum up my "job" in a short sweet title but the truth is, I'm always dreaming up some crazy new business adventure so I've coined myself as a serial entrepreneur. I inherited my love of shopping from my paternal grandmother and my love of thrifty deals from my Momma. I've always had an eye for fashion and even spent some time in the industry working as an international model (what seems like a lifetime ago now haha). Years ago as a new stay at home mom looking for a creative outlet, I started an Instagram page to clear out my personal closet and share some of my thrift store adventures with my friends but much to my surprise and thanks to the internet, I quickly gained a following of new friends from all over the US wanting to shop my finds and Kurated was born. Most people think I'm crazy, and maybe I am a little bit, but I believe that we've all been created with different passions and talents for a reason and that's what makes this world such a beautiful and fun place to live in. Thanks for stopping by and I hope the LAST thing you find here is cute clothes. My hope is that through our interactions, my blog, and your shopping experience, you find a lot of encouragement, a little bit of laughter, and always know that in me you not only have a personal stylist but most importantly a friend.
I was thrifting before thrifting was cool. Maybe it was because I got bored working the family business that just HAPPENED to be next door to a Goodwill store, or maybe it’s just my calling in life – might be slightly dramatic but I’m claiming it.
Regardless, I’m glad it happened.
I love the thrill of a hunt, always have and always will. The moment I laid hands on my first thrifted high end label, I was hooked.
I mean come on, who doesn’t like the feeling of getting a good deal?
Something about paying full price has just never felt right to me. I found (and still occasionally find) myself purchasing full price items thinking they will be something special, only to find out that many times they aren’t worth what you are asked to pay and the buyers regret that hits soon after purchase is pretty miserable.
I can’t be the only one?
I don’t think I have ever felt that way about something I got a good deal on though and THAT is why I created this little shop.
I want to give all of my friends, old and new, an opportunity to experience the same thrill I get every time I score a bargain.
I realize that while many people like getting good deals, they don’t always have the time, energy, or desire to search (or dig) them out themselves – so enter me.
Having good style doesn’t have to drain your wallet and I’ll prove it to you.
When you shop secondhand in my shop remember that you aren’t JUST scoring a great deal. You are supporting a real family of 6, reducing waste, slowing fast fashion, investing in quality clothing vs. cheaper alternatives, and truly making an impact in the community and ultimately the world.
Small changes add up to big results my friends.
Thanks for doing your part.
